About: Big Boulder Ski and Snowboard Park Big Boulder is part of the Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski resort. Big Boulder has a 475' vertical drop with 16 slopes and 55 acres of ski-able area. All of its 55 acres have man made snow making - a technology that was actually developed at Big Boulder in the 1950's. In addition to skiing, Big Boulder also offers snow tubing and between Jack Frost and Big Boulder, there are 3 Snowboard Parks - noted as the best in the MidAtlantic region.
